Malka family
Malka family is a group of Funk French founded in 1988 in Paris.
After the success of the evenings " At Roger box funk " that they organized with DJ Dee Nasty and Loik Dury, Joseph Guigui and Laurent " Isaac" Cohen respectively guitarist and trombonist of the group Human Spirit decide to launch out in the adventure of the Funk to the Frenchwoman.
With their with dimensions François Bercovici (song), Stephan Malca (keyboard), Anne " Elka" Possompes (song), Dany' O Thomasi (low), Séb Dupouey (battery), Woody Braun (sax), Gilles Garin (trumpet) and Xeus (keyboards) the combo quickly becomes one of the most sensational formations scenic of the years 1990.
Their first own-produced album " Malka One the Beach " leaves in 1991 and the rounds are connected in all France. The concerts, true show dressed up always filling the tank are often followed of a " Discomobile " where the festival continues all the night.
Rico Adiko (guitar) and Yvan Tamayo (percussions) are added to the formation and in 1992 Warner France the sign for one 2nd Album " All of Oufs " , true Space operated P-Funk.
After having traversed France, Switzerland, Italy, Holland and Japan the group becomes again independent and records a disc with Big Cheese Records (Fricassé De Funk), two new chorus-singers Gilda Peters and " Beyonder" integrate the formation.
Victim of its logistic weight (the group at the time of its last world tour comprised more than 14 members), Malka Family separates just after the publication in 1997 from their last album " Fotoukonkass " ( RCA / BMG ).
