Malindi
Malindi , formerly in French Mélinde , is a Ville Kenya inhabited by the Swahilis since the XIV {{E}} century. With for only rival Mombasa for the domination of this part of the East Africa, Malindi is traditionally a city port uaire for the foreign powers. In 1414, the caliph of Malindi launches diplomatic relations with the China during the Voyage S of the Explorateur Zheng He. The explorer Portuguese Vasco de Gama met the Autorité S of Malindi in 1498 to sign a commercial agreement and to engage a guide for his voyage in India. In 1499 the Portuguese established a commercial Comptoir in Malindi which was used as place of rest on the roads towards or from India.
