Malibu Stacy (group)

Malibu Stacy is a Belgian group originating in Visé (between Liege and Maastricht).

Their style, difficult to define clearly, is between the powerpop and the rock'n'roll.

Biography

The group was formed in 2003 on ashes of Cash Converters, in order to take part in the Contest Circuit, celebrates contest organized by Court-Circuit association (inter alia, Sharko and Hollywood Porn Stars were prizes winner). Malibu Stacy gained the final in November 2004 with Botany in Brussels.

Following this victory, the group obtains a contract with the independent label 62TV Records. They record their second test (the first being an own-produced demonstration of 3 titles going back to 2004), a EP 5 titles left in 2005, then quickly, helping success, their first album, heading G, recorded in Italy under the crook of Francesco Donadello, and left in 2006 (then republished in limited edition the same year).

Since its beginnings, Malibu Stacy course roads, energy of rooms in festivals, cutting a scenic reputation growing thanks to their indisputable energy and their ardor.
