Male main road 1 (basketball)

The Male Nationale 1 is the third level of the championship of male tennis shoe in France just in lower part of 2 divisions of the National league of Tennis shoe. The NM1 is the highest division only managed by the French federation of basketball.

History

The third French division after the Pro has and the Pro B. It knew various denominations:

1950 to 1963: Honor
1964 to 1973: Federal
1974 to 1987: Main road 3
1988 to 1998: Main road 2
since 1999: Main road 1

Principle

The championship is composed of 18 clubs. At the conclusion of the season the two first are promoted in Pro B and are numerically replaced by two promoted NM2 resulting from the eliminatory Séries of championship NM2.
