Malbouzon

Malbouzon is a common French, located in the department of the Lozere and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Malbouzonois.

Situation

Located in Aubrac, Malbouzon is frontier with the Département of the Cantal and the area Auvergne following the example commune of Nasbinals.

The Pilgrimage of Compostelle

The commune is also located on the Via Podiensis of the way of the Pèlerinage of Saint-Jacques-to-Compostelle.

One comes from Aumont-Aubrac, the next commune is Rieutort-d' Aubrac.

History

Its strange name comes from a called local top to the Moyen-âge: Mount-Bosonis. The commune was called in turn Montbouson, Maubouson and finally Malbouzon.

The village was in the beginning the “farmhouse of Bozon”, crossed by the Money Road, which succeeded the Roman way of Clutched.
