The anodization is a Traitement of surface which allows to protect or to decorate a part in Aluminum by anodic Oxidation (layer electrically insulating from 5 to 20 Micrometer S). It grants materials a better wear resistance, to the Corrosion and heat. The thickness is function of the destination of the finished product. For the interior 5 micrometers are sufficient, 10 for outside running and 20 for the corrosive conditions (seaside). Anodization also improves the aspect (colorless or tinted). The operation consists of a succession of baths followed by rinsing: a first to prepare surface, a second to deposit oxide, a third for the possible color and finally the last to stabilize.
