Malargüe
Malargüe is a town of 18.077 inhabitants (2001) which is the capital of the Département of Malargüe, in the western south of the Province of Mendoza in Argentine. It is located at approximately 370 km in the south of the city Mendoza the capital of the province.
In the past local industries were especially mining of Uranium and Pétrole. Then the development of tourism encouraged the construction of hotels and lodgings.
Tourism
In winter the tourists come to ski at the station of Las Leñas and Los Molles. The remainder of the year the visitors are followers of the ecotourism. Observatory Pierre Auger
