Mahinda Rajapakse , born the November 18th 1945 with Weeraketiya with the Sri Lanka, is a Sri Lankian politician.

He first of all occupies the post of Prime Minister for the April 6th 2004 with the November 19th 2005. He is named there by the president Chandrika Kumaratunga to succeed this station with Ranil Wickremesinghe. The November 17th 2005, it gains the presidential election with 50,33% of the voices vis-a-vis Wickremesinghe. It is invested in its functions two days later.
