Mahamat Nouri

Mahamat Nouri is a political personality Chad ienne. It was born in 1947 with Faya-Largeau.

Agent of the stations in 1968, it engages into 69 with the Frolinat (Frolinat 1st army), the rebellion claiming more right for the Moslems of north and the center of the country vis-a-vis the mode dictatorial of the Southerners originating in the extreme south-west in the country. At the time of the multiple scissions within movement, it founds with Hissène Habré the Armed forces of North (FAN) After the agreements of Khartoum in 1978, it becomes Minister of Interior Department of the Chadian Government of Union National (GUNT). In February 1979 the civil war starts again and the FAN must flee the capital. In June 1982 Hissène Habré reverses Goukouni Oueddeï and Nouri becomes Minister for transport and the civil aviation. It will be pointed out for its bad management.

After the defeat of Habré and the come to power of Idriss Déby Itno, in December 1990, Nouri adopts the new capacity and occupies several functions, in particular Préfet of the Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti and Ambassadeur of the Chad in Saudi Arabia. It is at this station that it joined rebel them in spring 2006 and founds the Union of the forces for the democracy and progress (UFDP). Some time after it plain its movement in the CDR and a wing of FUC to found UFDD. Since then Nouri this movement become directs the principal rebellion and collaborates in the two other main movements, the CNT and RaFD (old Scud).
