Mahón

Mahón ( Catalan Maó in ) is a city located in the east of the island of Minorque (Balearic Islands, Spain). Latitude: 39º 52 ' 1 NR, longitude: 4º 18 ' 6th.

Mahón is the Capitale of the island since the British domination at the 18th century. It is currently one of the ports best located strategically in the Western Mediterranean.

According to some, the Mayonnaise ( mahonesa or mayonesa in Spanish) would owe him its name.
