Magenmagot
Magic institution of the saga Harry Potter, written by the writer J.K. Rowling.
This assembly of wizard is probably inspired by the Witenagemot, institution the Top Moyen-âge Anglo-Saxon, former to the conquest Norman of 1066. This one gathered, under the presidency of the cruel kings, the free men charged to return justice and to enact the laws. In English, Magenmagot says Wizengamot besides.
The author makes of it mention for the first time in Harry Potter at the school of the wizards, but it is necessary to await volume 4 to see it with work, in the memories of Dumbledore. Harry Potter must itself face the court in chapter 5 of Harry Potter and the Order of the phoenix. The Magenmagot is the High Court of justice of the magi, chaired by Dumbledore before it is dislocated of its functions at the beginning of Harry Potter and the Order of the phoenix. The court of Magenmagot gathers about fifty Sorcier S, wearing dresses color plum with a M embroidered on the left of the chest.
It seems that the whole of Magenmagot attended the audience of Harry, a simple disciplinary audience of a minor for improper use of the magic, (at the time where Dumblemore this court directed, such a thing would never have occurred).
Following the departure of Dumbledore, it would seem that Cornelius Fudge, Minister for the Magic, took the head of Magenmagot, in any case at the time of the audience of Harry Potter.
Two members of Magenmagot are (or rather were, because they resigned in the volume 4) Griselda Marchebank and Tiberius Ogden.
