Madonna (album)

After success in clubs of the titles Everybody (produced per Kamins Mark) and Burning up , Madonna leaves its first album éponyme. The album contains 8 titles of which three propel Madonna to the top of the charts. The public is allured by the song Holiday (produced by John Jellybean Benitez) which makes of Madonna a high-speed motorboat. Individual the Lucky star (written by Madonna itself) and Borderline confirms that Madonna is the new feeling dance moment. Madonna gently asserts all in the charts but especially on the dancefloors. With its environment disco music underground made in New York, Madonna , primarily produced by Reggie Lucas, is sold with nearly 10 million specimens in the world being classified sixth in the United Kingdom and eighth in the USA.

Chronology

  • Before its meeting with Mark Kamins, Madonna had recorded a model with Stephen Bray, with the titles " Crimes off Passion" , " Everybody" , " Ain' T No Big Deal" , " Laugh To Keep FromCrying", " Burning Up" , " Stay" and " Don' T You Know? " , certain titles will be retained and worked again for the album and both the last for the album Like has Virgin, the original tiytres are available since 1998 on the album " Pre-Madonna ".
  • In the beginning, the album was to be called " Lucky Star" , however South Africa will leave the album under this name while Japan will leave it under the name " Burning up".
  • In 1985, it is famous " the first album" at the time of its republication in Europe and the small pocket then raises a photograph of George Holz which had been used before for the individual one of Lucky star.

  • In 2001, the album is remasterisé with remixes of " Burning up" and " Lucky Star"
