In 1784, it had to face a coalition of its opponents, Hindus and Moslems, and it was saved by the general Benoît de Boigne who overcame the united troops the June 28th 1787 with Laslot. Having decided to obtain a modern and well trained army, Sindiah again called upon Benoît de Boigne to create a brigade of remarkably trained and effective soldiers.
