Madeleine Robinson , of her true name Madeleine Yvonne Svoboda , is an actress free - Czech naturalized Swiss, born the November 5th 1917, with Paris and died the 2004 with Lausanne. She was successively married with the actor Robert Dalban (of which she had a son, Jean-François), with Guillaume Amestoy and with the Spanish actor-writer Jose Luis of Vilallonga. Of its relation with the singer Jean-Louis Jaubert (Companions of the song), it had a girl, Sophie-Julia (1955 - 1993).

Biography

His/her father and his mother, Victor and Suzanne Svoboda, were Czech immigrants come very young to France. His/her father was pastrycook and his mother usherette of tram.

Madeleine has three brothers and it passes its childhood to the Pre-Saint-Gervais, suburbs in the North-East of Paris (Seine-Saint-Denis). His/her parents separate when it is ten years old and the family, very poor, tightens themselves in two small parts on court. So Madeleine starts to work as of the 14 years age initially as factory-girl then as saleswoman.

She is allowed as free listener (since she has few resources) by Charles Dullin to follow the courses of dramatic art which he exempts in his Théâtre of the Workshop. To provide for its needs, it poses like model for photographs and starts to do a little figuration. It would have chosen the pseudonym “Robinson”, connecting it to its name “Svodoba” which means “Czech freedom”.

Its career in front of the camera starts in 1934 in Tartarin de Tarascon , film carried out by Raymond Bernard followed by a first role in Mioche of Léonide Moguy in 1936. It turned then in some 80 films to the Cinéma and in many television serials and telefilms (its last appearance with the screen took place in 1995 in the Child in heritage , telefilm carried out by Josée Dayan). She also played in a great number of parts of Théâtre, of which Adorable Julia .

She had withdrawn herself since from the years near Lausanne, with Montreux in Suisse.
