Macrospore

At the Vegetable , a Macrospore (or Mégaspore) Haploïde (N) is resulting from the Méïose of a cell mother Diploïde (2n), the Macrosporocyte (or Mégasporocyte). This cellular Division with place in the Sporophyte. Then, each Macrospore develops to give rise to a Gamétophyte Femelle, whose Différenciation varies according to the type of Végétal:
- Gymnosperme S and Gingko biloba : Prothalle
- Angiosperme S: embryonic Bag
