Macquaria
The kind Macquaria is a kind of carnivorous fish Australia NS of intermediate size of the family of the Percichthyidae. The kind results from the fusion of the old " kinds; Plectotripes" and " Macquaria" (species found in the river system Murray-Darling) and of the " Percalates" (species of the east coasts). Consequently the Macquaria kind shelters the two species of poles originating in the basin of Murray-Darling: the " pole dorée" ( Macquaria ambigua ) and the " Macquarie" pole; ( Macquaria australasica ) - and two species of poles catadrome S of the rivers of the East coast Australian: the " bar australien" ( Macquaria novemaculeata ) and the " pole of estuaire" ( Macquaria colonorum ). Recent genetic research suggests that these two last species form a kind with share what should allow the resurrection of the Percalates kind.
