Machine of Watt

The machine of Watt is a Steam engine of time known as " with simple effet" , to which it brings fundamental evolutions transforming it into " double effet".

James Watt adds and brevette in 1769:

  • a Wheel of inertia,
  • an external vapor condenser,
  • a speed regulator to balls,
  • a beam articulated known as Parallelogram of Watt transforming the rectilinear motion of the piston into rotation movement, and
  • a distributer slide valve of the vapor mû by an eccentric movement allowing to send the vapor alternatively on both sides Piston.
