Machholz comet

The comet Machholz , or Comet C/2004 Q2 , was discovered on August 27th 2004 by the astronomer amateur Donald Edward Machholz. Its period is of approximately thousand years.

It passes to more close to the Ground in 2005 on January 6th with a maximum magnitude envisaged of 4,1. It will be then visible with the naked eye in the constellation of the Taureau, with a passage to more close to the cluster of the Pléiades on January 8th.
