Macharaviaya
Macharaviaya is a municipality of the Province of Málaga, located at 235 meters of altitude, and being part of comarque Axarquía. Its population listed in 2005 is of 362 inhabitants.

History
The Arab town of origin (mashar of Abu Yahya) was founded in 1572.
