Macaw macao

The red macaw ( Macaw macao ) commonly called macaw macao , is a large coloured parrot.

He lives in the American tropical wet forests, of the east of the Mexico to the Peruvian Amazonia and Brazilian, in the low grounds up to 500 m of altitude. He was strongly persecuted by destruction of his habitat and capture for the trade.

He resembles much the Ara chloroptère, his principal difference is the yellow of his wings instead of the green
