Maarten of Your

Maarten of Your (or Martin ) 1532 - 1603 with Antwerp, is a Flemish painter.

Life and work

He was the pupil of Frans Floris. He supplemented his formation near the Tintoret.

One owes him of the historical paintings in the style mannerist, in particular a Saint Paul piqué by a viper on the island of Malta (1568) which is with the Musée from Louvre in Paris.

Its works appear in many museums, museum of the fine arts of Bilbao ( Enlèvement of Europe ), of Seville ( last Jugement ), of Strait, and the Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam. The Institute Courtauld, of London and the museum of San Francisco have of him a series of drawings.
