Maarten Bijleveld van Lexmond

Maarten Bijleveld van Lexmond (1937 with Groningen -) is a biologist. He founded with the collaboration of scientists and friends of nature the Papiliorama with Marin in 1987.

Biography

• Studies with the University of Leyde and the free University of Amsterdam

• Beginning of the year 60, founding member of WWF and general secretary during 10 years
• Deputy executive of the ecological commission of the International union for the nature conservation (UICN).
• 1987 Creation of the Marine Papiliorama to
• Creation of the international foundation-sister for the survival of tropical nature (ITCF).
