Maa (language)

The maa or masaï is an Eastern nilotic language spoken by the Masaï in the south about the Kenya and the north of the Tanzania, is between 300 and 900.000 speakers. It is very close to alternatives such as Samburu (or Sampur) spoken by the ethnos group samburu in the center about Kenya and Chamus, spoken in the south and south-east about the Lac Baringo, sometimes considered as a dialect of Samburu. Masaï, Samburu and they it-Chamus are historically connected and indicate all their language by the term ɔl Maa .
