Maîche
Maîche is a common French, located in the department of the Doubs and the area Franche-Comté. The inhabitants of Maîche are called Maîchois .
Geography
Located at 75 km in the east of Besancon, and at less than 9 km of the Swiss border , at flight of Bird.
Communes bordering: Damprichard, Charquemont, Cernay-l' Church, Mancenans, the Barks.

History
The blazon of the city joins together two symbols of Maîche: one armorial takes again the weapons of the family Guyot-Malseigne de Maîche; the other commercial one with a toothed wheel which evokes the clock making activity of the city and a horseshoe symbol of the breeding of the famous horse comtois, the horse of Maîche.
