MP5K
MP5K is a compact version of the Pistolet-mitrailleur MP5. MP5K is the abbreviation of Maschinenpistole 5 Kurz (short Machine pistol 5). Developed in 1976 at the request of units anti-terrorists and protection close to important personalities, its principal asset is its small size which makes it possible to camouflage it under a coat or to arrange it in the glove compartment of a car or to be implemented since a special case which makes it possible to draw without needing to leave it. Although it accepts all the chargers of MP5, it is generally employed with a charger of 15 blows in order to preserve an obstruction minimal.
The MP5K is directly derived from MP5, it does not have a stick, its gun is short and it is equipped with one second vertical handle to facilitate control of it. It is a compact weapon which offers an important firepower, which results in to make it difficult to control. Thus, its lengthens hardly exceeds 25 meters.
Alternative MP5K-A1 does not comprise any part in relief what makes it possible to dissimulate it under clothing. The alternative MP5K-PDW adds a collapsible stick and a hiding place flame and can receive a Silencieux. During Years 1980, a semi-automatic version only deprived of frontal handle was marketed on the American civil market in particular, under the name of SP-89.
