MIDDAY Center Production

The MPC (MIDDAY Center Production) is a machine, being used with the composition as music.

Akaipro, the firm producing this machine belongs to the group of companies Akai since 1984.

It conceived inter alia instruments, several models of MPC: the MPC 60, first model in date, then MPC 3000,2000,2000 XL, 4000,1000 500 and 2500.

These machines include/understand a musical Séquenceur, a sampler and they integrate pads (broad gum keys) being able to be used to replace a truth Clavier external, last which can however be itself connected in Midday.

The various models of MPC are appreciated Compositeur S of music which use much the sampling for their ease of use and their spirit “all-in-a”.

MPC 2000 XL

This model is distinguished from the preceding version, the MPC 2000, by:

  • the function 16 levels (“16 levels”), which consists in distributing a sample on all the extent of the keyboard or the pads in order to then play it on all the Tessiture of the instrument which at sampled summer, like a Piano for example);
  • the function slice (“cutting”), which consists in cutting out the sample between 2 and 16 parts. On the preceding model, it is necessary to repeat the operation of sampling as much of time than one wishes to add parts;
  • the screen swivelling, avoiding having to be held exactly vis-a-vis the machine to read correctly on posting.

Its use spread when this machine with laid out in option of a card reader flash to replace the internal disk drive.
