MIAT Mongolian Airlines

MIAT Mongolian Airlines (Code AITA: OM ; Code ICAO: MGL ) is the national Airline company Mongolian based with Ulan-Bator, with the International airport Gengis Khan. It operates mainly on interior roads but also on some international flights.

History

MIAT was founded in 1956 and knew several names during its history among which Mongolian Air or Mongolian Airlines . It began under the aegis of the Soviet company Aeroflot and operated its first flight in July 1956 between Ulan-Bator and Irkoutsk, in Russia.

Float

Its fleet was in the beginning mainly made up of planes Antonov and Tupolev. It is composed today of a Boeing 737 -800 and of a Airbus A310 -300.
