MF 67
MF 67 is a type of material which equips the majority with the underground lines on iron of Paris (lines 2, 3, 3bis, 5, 9, 10 and 12). The other underground lines on iron are equipped with MF 77 (lines 7, 8 and 13) and with MF 88 (7bis).
These oars were ordered to replace the oars Sprague. For reasons of cost and missing time, the RATP at the time had given up converting new lines of subway to the tire (except line 6, partly air and thus source of great noise pollutions); the new oars iron were to have definitely improved performances: a better suspension, a more effective braking, an increased power.
MF 67 was produced between 1968 and 1978 in several under-series:
-
MF67A : 40 oars with total adhesion (made up only of motor coaches) including 20 with Bogie S single-engined aircrafts and 20 with twin-engine bogies intended for line 3 (1968-1971);
- MF67C: 68 oars with total adhesion including 22 with bogies single-engined aircrafts and 46 with twin-engine bogies intended for line 7 (1971-1973);
- MF67D: 16 motor coaches twin-engines and 367 trailers to adapt the preceding oars to a configuration with partial adherence (3 motor coaches + 2 trailers) and to equip at the same time lines 9 and 13 (1974-1975);
- MF67E: 56 oars with twin-engine bogies and regenerative braking to equip line 8 (1975-1976);
- MF67F: 51 oars with bogie single-engined aircraft, pneumatic suspension and braking with recovery intended for line 13 (1976-1978).
MF 67 must be gradually replaced by the oars of the series MF 2000 at the end of 2006 on lines 2,5 and 9.
The oars most recently renovated are equipped with ASVA (line 3).
Certain oars have nevertheless a characteristic. Indeed, they were the object of certain modifications or were used as prototypes with new installations:
- S.9167 : this oar named before M.10310 and circulated on line 2. It was famous then and currently circulates on line 12, on oar 094;
- N.11159 : this oar is equipped with a cooled ventilation; the shape of the roof is also different and the small side panes are removed;
- N.11234 and NA.12128 : equipped with wavering doors as it is the case on MF 77 (prototype for MF 77);
- N.11227 : equipped during a time with a chopper with current with mark Alstom. This installation is not visible any more today.
-
N.11131 has 11134 : Oars famous, they carry numbers NA.12129 now has 12132. Even thing for the oars A.13061, A.13067 and A.13069 re-elected in B.14156 with 14158 .

MF 67 E & F were delivered of origin with the delivered news blue-king, brought as from 1974 with the MP 73.

Here some anecdotes of this material.
-
In 1982, a terrible tragedy arrived at some trains MF67F and AD of the 5. The building site of work of the prolongation of the line 5 with Bobigny made penetrate in the enclosure of the ways out of drawer of the terminus of Église of Puppet of the 5 and to the station even, water of a violent one storm who had occurred at this place there. That had as a catastrophic consequence the flood of nine trains MF67, made temporarily unusable. Sprague-Thomson of line 5, which was then in full reform, were recalled in the urgency to ensure the service. This is why MF 67 F damaged at that time there have the extremely tired frame. As for MF 67 AD present at this time there, they are in similar state, and do not attend any more line 5 since 1993, leaving it with MF 67 F.

Directly derived from prototype CIMT of origin single-engined aircraft of MF 67 (MF 67 W1), a trailer (B.14001) was equipped in the years 1970, of a standard interior MF 77. The case of this trailer re-uses however same case CIMT as the motor coaches A1 C1 single-engined aircraft, with the same Duwag bogies, however demotorized and without wiper.
-
the MF67 single-engined aircraft A1 C1 are recognizable with their case relatively different from the case of the series A2 C2, E (side gutter on the single-engined aircrafts, with the top of the windows with lantern stopping before the end of the extreme end of the case on the level of intercommunication, in the same style as the roof of MP 55, MP 59, MP 73. Typical of the style of manufacture CIMT, as for the twin-engines the roof goes up higher, but with a more discrete lantern, slightly dissimulated in the body of the roof of the cauldron, the lantern continues until the extreme limit of the cauldron on the level of intercommunication). The MF67 E were manufactured by the CIMT. However the cauldron of the series F, is drawn from the cauldron of the type E, but with modifications for the equipment of mechanical ventilation.

In the Eighties, bogies ANF of the twin-engines knew very big problems of corrosion. And certain holes measured the size of a part of 1 Franc. In front of this recurring problem, the RATP decided to order new bogies in Creusot-Loire and Alsthom. It remains despite everything some cars with bogies ANF of origin (ex: N.11088, NA.12034 & 35, of line 10 and 12). One recognizes these new bogies thanks to their particular form pointing out the shape of bogies FIAT of cars VSE the SNCF, whereas bogies ANF had the flat frame. As for the single-engined aircrafts, he did not know any problem, because bogies DUWAG were of an exemplary solidity (they equipped already the subway with Berlin).
