MC Oran
The Mouloudia Club of Oran (MCO) is a club of Algerian Football based with Oran. Founded in 1946, the MCO remains the only Algerian club to have to date disputed (2007) the totality of the seasons of the national championship of the first division (D1) since 1963, with its launching.
Domiciliation
The Club, one of most popular of Algeria, domiciled with the Stade Ahmed Zabana (40 000 places), in the mythical district of El Hamri. Its supporters is called Hamraoua (name of the district), and its colors are the red and the white.
History
It is in the night of the Tuesday May 14th 1946, day before the festival Musulman E Leilat el Mawlid Ennabaoui Echarif (celebration of the birth of the prophet Mohamed), that meet five people in the room of Ali Bentouati with the district Lamur - the current one (El Hamri) - and agree to found a club which will be called Mouloudia Club of Oran. Among the founders, there was Ali Bentouati, Mohamed Bessoul, Omar Rouane Serrik, Boumefraa (one of the founders of USM Oran), and Omar (first president of Mouloudia), rich trading with El Hamri. The ceremonial of foundation of Mouloudia saw the participation of Sheik Saïd Zamouchi, delegated by the Association of the oulémas Moslem Algerian.The club had in its manpower, and in particular during the years of gold (71, 75,85,87,89,91,92), of great figures of Algerian football and even African, like Lakhdar Belloumi, Tedj Bensaoula, and Karim Morocco, without forgetting the children of the club during generations such as Abdelkader Freha, Sid Ahmed Belkedrouci, Miloud Hadefi while passing by Tahar Cherif El Ouazzani.
If its course is crowned the many ones of trophies and national titles, it has nevertheless escaped accuracy with relegation by twice. The first time in 1970, and this, by gaining a decisive match against the mythical club of the CR Belouizdad. The following season, Mouloudia gains with same manpower its first title of champion of Algeria. The second time or MC Oran was to escape relegation, it was in 1983. Curiously, the following season also, in 1984, Mouloudia gains the Coupe of Algeria with new waves of young talented players such as Mourad Meziane, Tahar Cherif El Ouazzani, Bachir Mecheri, Arezki Lebbah, under the control of Abdellah Mecheri, against DNC Algiers.
