MC93 Bobigny

The House of the Culture of Bobigny, more commonly called MC93 Bobigny , is an important theater of the Paris region whose programming is mainly centered on creations of Théâtre, of Danse and Musique.

History

The MC93 is a place of creation and production of live performances which was imagined at the end of the years 1960 in the town of Bobigny in Seine-Saint-Denis. After evaluation and realization of the project, the MC93 opens finally its doors on February 19th, 1980. The big room Oleg Efremov can accommodate 866 spectators, small the 220 people to which a room of repetition of a capacity of 128 places is added.

Since, the end of the international choreographic Contest of Bagnolet in 1988, the MC93 accommodates many spectacles of Contemporary dance at the time of the international choreographic Rencontres of Seine-Saint-Denis which succeeded to him. In 1999 the extension of the building is carried out which will make it possible the MC93 to become extensive in its programming.

The MC93 is accessible by the subway stations from the line Bobigny - Pablo Picasso, the tram station Town hall of Bobigny, like by several drunk lines of the RATP.
