MAB PA15

Succeeding MAB PA8 (charger of 8 blows), this semi-automatic Pistolet Simple action was developed at the end of the Années 1960 with an aim of replacing the MAC model 1950 of the French Army . The essence of this market was gained in the years 1980 by the FARMHOUSE G1.

Description

Functioning according to an original mechanism with rotary gun, it is famous for its great comfort, its precision and its reliability. MAB Pa15 (for Munitions factory of Bayonne Automatic pistol to 15 blows) suffers nevertheless from a hard relaxation, disappointing bodies of aiming and a cylinder head difficult to operate what did not allow him a recontrer a commercial real success. A version with long gun for the shooting of competition was also produced. The latter was used by the French military teams of shooting under the designation of PAP Miss F1 (for Automatic pistol of Precision F1 models). A prototype with Double action was constructed in the years 1980. Although the Munitions factory of Bayonne does not exist any more, the parts of this gun are still manufactured by company MAM in Bayonne.

Users

Model PA15 was carried to personal capacity by some officers. Some African countries bought some, just as SDECE.
