M89

M89 (or NGC 4552 ) is a elliptic Galaxie located in the Constellation of the Vierge, and belonging to the Galaxy cluster called Virgo Cluster. She was discovered by Charles Messier on March 18th 1781.

She is classified of E0 type in the Séquence of Hubble, which means that she is visually almost perfectly circular. The galaxy is accompanied by a structure in form of jet, extending on approximately 100  000 light-years, which could be a smaller satellite galaxy, being disintegrated by the forces of tide.
