M86
M86 (or NGC 4406 ) is a lenticular Galaxie, of S0 type, located in the Vierge and discovered in 1781 by Charles Messier.
Characteristics
M86 is in the middle of the Virgo Cluster and forms a very remarkable group with another giantess, M84. Of all the Galaxy S of Messier (and even of all the objects), M86 is that having more high speed of bringing together, and thus the shift towards the highest blue: it approaches the Solar system to 419 km/sec! (Sky Catalogs 2000.0; the NED gives a value slightly lower of 281 km/sec, that is to say right after M90).
