M75
M75 (or NGC 6864 ) is a globular Amas located in the Constellation of the Sagittarius. He was discovered by Pierre Méchain on August 27th 1780, and Charles Messier introduced it into its catalog the same year after having determined the position of it. As for the majority of the stellar Cluster S of the catalog Messier, it is William Herschel which was the first to solve it out of stars, in 1784.
M75 is located roughly at 67 500 light-years of the Solar system, and its apparent diameter of 6 minutes of arc corresponds to a real diameter of almost 120 light-years. This cluster is very dense, from where its categorization in class I , it is one of the densest cluster globular which one knows. It is also very luminous, with a absolute Magnitude of -8,55, that is to say the equivalent of 180 000 solar luminosities.
