Māya Sakamoto
Māya Sakamoto (), born the March 31st 1980 with Tōkyō is a Seiyū (doubling frame) and singer Japan ease.
It joined a club of theater at age the 8 years, and double of American films in Japan, including inter alia Flora in the Piano lesson, and Lex in Jurassic Park. In 1996 it gives its voice to Hitomi Kanzaki main character in the animated series Vision of Escaflowne . It is chosen by the compositrice Yōko Kanno to sing several songs for this series, of which credits of opening “Yakusoku wa iranai” and the song of end “Yubiwa” of film.
She then regularly worked with Yōko Kanno and obtained roles of doubling and of singer on others Anime S such as inter alia: Chronicles of the war of Lodoss , Kiseki No umi , Wolf' S Rain , Kanon , RahXephon , Gundam seed destiny , .hack//SIGN , Tsubasa Tank Chronicles . She also interpreted voices in video games like Panzer Dragoon Saga, Kingdom Hearts, and Napple Tale.
She also played the voice of Padmé Amidala in the Japanese doubling of Star Wars episodes I, II, and III, of Kate Brewster in Terminator III and of max in the televised series Dark Angel . She plays also the part of Éponine in the Japanese version of the musical comedy the Poor wretches .
She left five albums solo, an mini-album, a great number of individual and two compilations. In December 2003, it left its fourth album, Shōnen Alice , and a DVD of a short film of the realizer of Mizu No onna called 03 CROSS-COUNTRY RACES . Maaya writes itself only from time to time the words of its songs. His/her most current collaborators are Yuho Iwasato for the Japanese songs and Tim Jensen for those in English. New the fanclub of Maaya, Idling Stop , opened in 2004. She worked with Yōko Kanno to the exit of its fifth album, left in October 2005, which did not contain a song of the compositrice.
