Mörön

Mörön is the capital of the province (aimag) of Hövsgöl in the north of the Mongolia.

The city has a camp of Yourte S to accommodate the tourists.

Vestiges of Möröngiin Khuree, monastery which was founded into 1809/11 residence on banks of the river Delgermörön. With beginning of the twentieth century, the monastery had a population of about 1300 spangled, but was destroyed in 1937. A new small monastery of Danzadarjaa Khiid was set up on in the west of the city in 1990.

Airport

The airport of Mörön (ICAO: ZMMN, AITA : MXV) has only one not bituminized track. It is served by scheduled flights since and towards the capital of the country Ulan-Bator. Some flights towards the provinces of the west can also stop there.
