Móstoles

Móstoles is a city located at the south-west of Madrid.

At the origin a village which would date from the Roman epoch. Móstoles is today the second city in importance of the autonomous Communauté of Madrid of many inhabitants (as well as the third city of the central zone of Spain) after Madrid and Valladolid.

Móstoles has a technological campus and a university (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos).

The demographic trends of the village were very slow (some 2000 inhabitants to the war of Spain).

In 1965, Móstoles counts 4.000 inhabitants, in 1975 75000 and 1989 185000.

The town of Móstoles currently counts some 212.463 inhabitants, working mainly in Madrid.
