Mésothérapie

The mésothérapie is a technique invented in 1952 by Michel Pistor, a French doctor. It is about Traitement by injection S Intra-dermique S of active products.

The Pathologie S treated by this technique are primarily rhumatologic S. The products used are allopathic drugs (Anti-inflammatoire not stéroïdien S, Décontracturant S, Vasodilatateur S… but never of Cortisone) or homeopathic.

For a few years, one has also used this technique in esthetic aiming treatments such as the Mésolift.

The mésothérapie knew an signification advance in 2004, with the validation of a diploma inter-academic of mésothérapie. This one now made part of the common classification of the medical acts but it is not tariffed yet. It is refunded by the Social security on the basis of consultation in the field of the pain but it is not refunded in the field of esthetics.

Risks

The mésothérapie is an invasive technique since consistent in a series of intradermal injections. However of many precautions are taken to avoid any viral infection (wearing of gloves and use of material of sterile single use).
