Mésencéphale
The mésencéphale , the “average” brain, is a region of the cerebral Tronc linked to the Cerveau. It is formed from the front to the back of both cerebral stalks, the Tegmentum and the Tectum.
In the spacing of the stalks, are located of back ahead the two bodies mamillaires of the Hypothalamus, the stem of the Hypophyse and the optical Chiasma. The optical strips which leave the chiasma circumvent the mésencéphale on both sides.
The tegmentum contains the Aqueduc of Sylvius surrounded of the gray substance perished-acqueducale. The aqueduct makes communicate between them the third and fourth Ventricule S.
The tectum is formed of both colliculi higher and both colliculi lower.
