Mérou

The term of mérou indicates several Espèce S of Poisson S of the hot seas, just as several Espèce S different can receive same vernacular name. One finds some species of mérous in the Mediterranean.

The brown mérou, Epinephelus marginatus , is probably the most required fish and most media of the Mediterranean. It can live up to 200 meters of depth.
