Ménesthée

In the Greek Mythology, Ménesthée (in Greek old Μενεσθεύς / Menestheús ), wire of Pétéos, is the eleventh legendary king of Athens. He was placed on the throne by the Dioscures, following the war that those undertook against Thésée to recover Helene.

In Iliade , Ménesthée is the chief of the Athenians for the Trojan War. It was among the warriors present in the Trojan horse. After the bag of the city, Ménesthée goes to Mélos where he becomes king.
