Lysiane Gagnon

Lysiane Gagnon is a Québécois Journaliste . She writes for the daily newspaper the Press of Montreal since 1980 and for the daily newspaper Globe and Mail of Toronto since 1990.

She was parliamentary also courrierist of 1975 with 1980. In 1975, it received the Prix Olivar-Asselin, and, twice, in 1976 and 1982, the National Newspaper Awards. It also gained the Prix of the readers of the Living room of Montreal in 1984 for its novel Vivre with the men: a new division . In 1980, it had risen against the remarks of Lise Payette on the federalistic women.

In its chronicles, it gives an opinion in favor of feminism, the federalism and Israel vis-a-vis the Hezbollah. Anticlerical, it also criticized the terminological proposals of the OQLF, which regulates the use of French in Quebec. In press conference, the Prime Minister Bernard Landry had been irritated by the durability of his journalism. Because of its European and French affinities, she affirms to include/understand the position of Robin Philpot on Rwanda.
