Lysette Brochu

Lysette Brochu (Sudbury (Ontario), 1946 -) is a writer E Québécois E. Teaching of formation, it published a half-dozen of books intended for youth.

Biography

Born in 1946, in Sudbury, in Ontario, it is installed with Gatineau since the end of the year 1960. Holder of a control in education with concentration in counseling educational (1992) and of a Baccalauréat be arts of concentration in French letters of the Université of Ottawa (1978), of a Patent of the teaching of Ontario (1966), of a Certificate of studies in theology (1984) and of a Certificate of studies in animation (1983), Lysette Brochu taught a long time with the primary education, the secondary then with the Université of Quebec in Outaouais (UQO… microphone-teaching, children's literature, didactic of French, literary creation…), before devoting itself to the cultural activity(AP) or pastoral then with the writing.

Since 1979, it took part in many collective works of which the Tunnel and D are new chance (2004), international collectives, published by the Editions of Vermilion, and the ash of the words , collective under the direction of Khal Torabully, in the Collection Poets of the five continents, published in the editions of Harmattan, in Paris in 2003.

She also collaborated in several cultural reviews of French language, Virages , Traversées , Brèves arts persons , Ancrages … Since 2001, she published Saisons of gold and clay , a collection of accounts and tables of life and seven books for children.

Its album, Me, Mabel, the flying cow , found finalist with the Literary prize the Right in 2003 and its Florence album and the Holy-Catherine was chosen by Ibby Canada and KBBY (the division of Korea) in order to represent Canada with the festival Nambook-006 (Nami Island International Children' S Book Festival 2006), one 70 days duration festival, which proceeded between on April 22nd and on June 30th, 2006, on the Island of Nami. The French school program intended for the schools of French language of Ontario, of 1st at the 8th year suggests the reading of its books since its revised edition of 2006.

Lysette Brochu travels much in order to take part in Living rooms of the book or in order to carry out literary animations near its readers… One invited it in to take part in several events, in Quebec, in Canada and in Suisse. In May 2007, it took part in the event Imaginales in the Vosges with Épinal, in Lorraine.

Mrs. Brochu very implied in the services at the community: it was a president of the literary Atelier of Outaouais (1998-2003), founded by Flemish Jacques, in addition to being member of the board of directors of various active organizations in the social domain, of which the Committee Brazil. It made cultural criticism for the Revue of Gatineau and for several cybersites and it was representing Outaouais and Union of the écrivaines and writers Québécois (UNEQ) within the committee Trans Quebec (2002-2004).

Lysette Brochu is member of the Union of the écrivaines and Québécois writers (UNEQ), of the Association of the Québécois writers for youth (AEQJ), of the Association of auteures and authors of French Ontario (AAOF), of the Association of the authors and auteures of Outaouais (AAAO) and Communication youth.
