The subfamily of Plie Lyopsettinae includes/understands only one kind:

• Lyopsetta Jordan and Goss in Jordan, 1885

and only one species called Carlottin pétrale or Plaice of California:

• Lyopsetta exilis (Jordan and Gilbert, 1880)
