the Four Charlots musketeers is a Film French of André Hunebelle left in 1974
Synopsis
A version of the " Three Musketeers " of Alexandre Dumas, completely revisited and perfectly burlesque, where Charlots play the servants of the Mousquetaire S, in order to thwart the plans of the Cardinal of Richelieu, its damnée heart the Joseph Father and of MILADY de Winter and to bring back to the queen her tags diamonds which it imprudently offered to the duke of Buckingham.
D' Artagnan must fight in duel with the musketeers. They are stopped by the guards of the Cardinal and left this delicate situation by their servants (Charlots) using of techniques, say, not very conventional.
Some time later at the time Constancy, the linen maid of the queen is removed and their Masters stopped to have defended it, the servants are disguised as torturers to orchestrate his meeting of torture, during which it is the Joseph Father which finishes on the table of tortures, and Constancy which flees with our friends.
Two of the servants, disguised as women, then replace Constance with the service of the Queen, and organize a secret meeting between Buckingham and the Reine, which offers a collar of tags to him. The servants still help Buckingham to flee.
Our accomplices, always the servants, are then disguised in the King, the Cardinal and the Joseph Father in order to make escape their Masters and one as of theirs of the Bastille, and devoting themselves to memorable kicks in behind three characters whom they interpret and which had the bad idea to unload with the Bastille at the same time. (The false Joseph Father draws a kick with the true Cardinal, the true Cardinal to be avenged returns the similar one to the true Joseph Father, while the false Cardinal puts his foot in the rear-axle unit of the truth King, which will be avenged on the true Cardinal and so on) and sow the disorder until three " vrais" find themselves locked up with the Bastille whereas the " faux" leave)
It is at this time that the second part of film starts: " With us four, Cardinal".
One of the outstanding scenes of this second part is the duel between Planchet and the double of Cyrano of Bergerac.
