Lynda Carter (July 24th 1951 with Phoenix, Arizona -) is a American Actrice . She is especially known for the role of Wonder Woman.

Biography

It was born on July 24th, 1951 from an Irish father and a Mexican mother.

She began her career while being Miss World 1973. She then sang in various groups through the United States. Very tempting, intelligent, the beautiful young woman with the blue eyes decides to become actress and goes to Los Angeles in 1975. After several participations in series (like Starsky and Hutch in 1976), it obtains the role of Wonder Woman the same year. The pilot of the series is an immense success and Lynda Carter quickly becomes a star.

During 4 years and 60 episodes, Lynda Carter interprets the role of this Amazon to the supernatural capacities. Very appreciated by the children, the character of Wonder Woman also allures the adults by the very sexy behavior of Lynda.

After the series in 1980, Lynda occurs in various spectacles with Las Vegas. Divorced its manager in 1983, it remarie with Robert Altman, a lawyer in 1984. It decides to leave Hollywood to live Washington and becomes mom of James and Jessica. She continues her career of actress in various telefilms ( Rita Hayworth in 1984, Daddy in 1991, Family Blessing in 1996).

Moved away from the studios for several years, Lynda Carter has made today its great return with participations in films of the boxoffice: Sky High in 2005 and the remake of the series Shérif frighten me! (2005). It was also the high-speed motorboat in the play and musical comedy: Chicago with London in October/November 2005.

The actress is also the spokesperson of various associations to the the United States. Lynda Carter prepares new CD of songs adapted of Chicago , a show in San Francisco in the high-speed motorboat and a new film in 2007. The actress should also appear in the film Wonder Woman adapted series worship.
