Lymphoid fabric
The lymphoid fabric is formed by the whole of the bodies where the Lymphocyte S and the other cells of the Immune system reside.
One differentiates two types of lymphoid bodies: exchanges and peripherals.
Central lymphoid bodies
(or primary lymphoid bodies ) are the bodies of maturation of the lymphocytes:-
the thymus which mature the lymphocytes T;
- the Stock Exchange of Fabricius, which is not other than part of the Spinal-cord at the Vertébrés (lymphoid nodules).
Peripheral lymphoid bodies
(or secondary lymphoid bodies ):They are, accumulation, and the meeting crossing points of the antigens and the cells of immunity.
-
the lymphatic ganglia;
- the white pulp of the Spleen;
- the MALT ( Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue ) of which:
- GALT ( Gut-associated lymphoid tissue ) digestive lymphoid formations (plates of Peyer)
- BALT ( bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue ) respiratory lymphoid formations
- and other tissue lymphoid formations.
More precisely, the secondary lymphoid bodies are places of drainage of the Lymphe, indeed when blood passes in a capillary, to the beginning of the capillary this one gives to fabric part of the plasmatic liquid, while at the end, almost the same quantity of liquid is recovered by the capillary, of fabric; the quantity of not recovered liquid is drained by the lymphatic vessels which will bring together on the secondary lymphoid bodies, then this liquid will return towards venous circulation, exactly in the left Veine subclavian by the thoracic Canal, or for another part in the vein right subclavian by the lymphatic Canal right.
The function of the secondary lymphoid bodies is to activate the immunizing response by this means: antigens being located in fabric related with the peripheral lymphoid body will migrate in this fabric towards this secondary lymphoid body, either by the means of the flow of interstitial liquid, or inside a Cellule presenter of antigen, thus in the ganglion, the spleen or the MALT in question, the lymphocyte B and T specific of this antigen will be able to be activated and play their part or by diffusing antibodies in the extracellular liquid, or while turning over on the original place of the antigen and by carrying out an answer to cellular mediation against the agents containers the antigen.
