Lycopodiaceae

The goutweed podagraire ( Aegopodium podagraria ), also called grass with the goutteux , is a herbaceous Plante long-lived of the family of the Apiaceae.

It is a plant of the places shaded (fresh underwood) which can appear a tough Adventice. It has a rapid growth and can reach 80 cm. Used under wood, or in the shaded solid masses.

It is a plant very invading, of which it is necessary to be wary. It emits root S many and deep, difficult to extract. That can be done over several years, and the other plants or flowers do not resist its invasion: the Rose tree S, for example, decay. Even if it is torn off, the roots remain and the plant pushes back of more beautiful! A whole small piece of root forgotten can give again a new plant! And, icing on the cake, this plant also reproduces by Graine S. It flowers in June; its flower is rather pretty besides: it is a Ombellifère (like the Carotte: moreover, the roots have a carrot odor). A foot can give hundreds of seeds…
