Lycanthropie
The lycanthropie corresponds to the legend according to which a man, following the bite of a wolf or a lycanthrope, transforms itself into Loup-garou during following full moons. The term indicates also a psychiatric disease. More details in the article “Werewolf”. This term comprises a broader meaning, indicating the transformation of a man into any type of animal, but the term Thérianthropie tends today to replace.
