Luttenbach-près-Munster
Luttenbach-près-Munster is a common French, located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.
Geography
History
The name “Luttenbach” comes from “noisy river” (DER laute Bach) which refers to the river of Fecht which crosses the village. It was mentioned for the first time in 1120, when the village belonged to the commune of Munster until the French revolution. Luttenbach was a place of stay of Voltaire in 1754. During the First World War the village, which was near the face, was entirely destroyed and rebuilt after the war.
